Nature Recovery Plan
Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape is an extraordinary place for wildlife. But nationally nature is declining and this is the case, even here.
The National Landscape Partnership is currently working with a range of partners, consultants, local records centres, farmers, land managers, local residents and specialists to develop a Nature Recovery Plan to set out how we will tackle this ecological emergency at a local level.

We aim to publish a draft version of the Nature Recovery Plan for consultation in early summer.
AONBs across the country have committed to embarking on a programme of nature recovery by producing and delivering a Nature Recovery Plan (Colchester Declaration 2019). This will support statutory National Landscape Management Plans and Local Nature Recovery Strategies, along with recommendations outlined in the Government’s Landscapes Review (Glover et al. 2019).
