Come and join the “Friends of Warton Crag” group to help look after your Local Nature Reserve.
- Do you enjoy working outdoors, carrying out small conservation management tasks such as vegetation clearing, scrub-cutting etc?
- Are you willing to pass on your own skills and knowledge about plants and animals; woodlands and grasslands; or the area’s rich history?
- Do you simply enjoy walking up the Crag and are happy to check pathways and pick up some litter while you are out and about?
How much time you devote is entirely up to you! This is a community effort and every little helps – as they say “many hands make light work”.
Belinda Barclay, the Local Nature Reserve warden, runs volunteer activities on the 3rd Saturday of every month to which everyone is more than welcome. See our What’s On page for further details.
If this is something you think you’d like to get involved in, we’d love to hear from you. Simply complete our volunteer enquiry form and Belinda will get in touch with you to discuss in more detail.
Thank you for your support!
