There's lots going on in the AONB with a huge range of walks, talks and activities organised by a number of our partner organisations and local clubs and societies, all helping you discover more about the extraordinary landscape, amazing wildlife and rich heritage of the area.
Landscape Trust The Secrets of Silverdale
This 3 hour walk (rescheduled from 8 June) by Ann Turnbull will include views over Morecambe Bay, the salt marsh and Gibraltar Farm, rocks and fossils, the history of the seaward part of the village and an exploration of the southern area of Silverdale.
This event is free, but we would appreciate a donation of £5 from any non-members. The number of participants is limited to 20 so booking is essential. Preference to people previously booked on the walk will be given until Monday 8 July. The walk is suitable for well-behaved dogs on leads.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org, giving walk reference W6, name and contact details for each attendee (including telephone number in case of last minute alteration or cancellation) and whether or not you are members of the Landscape Trust.
