There's lots going on in the AONB with a huge range of walks, talks and activities organised by a number of our partner organisations and local clubs and societies, all helping you discover more about the extraordinary landscape, amazing wildlife and rich heritage of the area.
Friends of Warton Crag taster day
Get involved with your local nature reserve on Warton Crag and do your bit to conserve this special place. Join Bee Barclay, the Local Nature Reserve Warden, on a taster session to help clear pathways, litter pick and generally give our reserve a tidy up.
This casual get together is an introduction on how you can help support your Crag, and find out what’s coming up on the ‘Gateway’ project. No experience is needed, but skills are welcome. This is an opportunity for all, children to be over 6+ and accompanied by an adult. All tools will be provided.
Meet at Warton Crag main quarry carpark at 10am. Wear suitable footwear and clothing, bring a picnic along and enjoy a day out with friends and family.
This is a free event, but to help with organisation, please e-mail Bee with brief details (eg: number of people and ages of any children) if you intend to come along. We look forward to seeing you on the day!
