Cycle trip around Arnside and Silverdale

A warm welcome awaits you in Arnside & Silverdale. When planning your visit try to do so in a way that has a low impact on the environment, a positive effect on the livelihoods of the local people and on landscape and biodiversity

The area’s network of narrow lanes and paths, open spaces, viewpoints and nature reserves, offer wonderful opportunities to enjoy walking, cycling and wildlife watching. The National Landscape villages all offer something unique from historic buildings to friendly pubs and cafes and some great places to stay. And the area is very accessible by public transport – perfect for exploring in a truly sustainable way.

To help you get the most out of your visit in ways that keep the area special, have a look at the award-winning Greentraveller website which provides really useful information on accommodation, where to find locally produced seasonal food, family days out and low impact activities, such as walking and cycling. Travel writer Jo Keeling has written and researched the guide and has picked out some of the best experiences for you to enjoy in this extraordinary place.

Further information is also available on the Arnside Village website.
