The Arnside & Silverdale AONB Partnership will be holding its 6th Apple Day on Saturday 3 October at Orchard Barn, Briery Bank, Arnside from 10am – 4pm.

This is a great family event with lots of traditional orchard-themed games and activities for both young and old! Join in the fun, make your own hedgehogitat, magic potion or even your own broomstick!

Experts will be on hand to talk about bees, birds and little beasties that live and feed in our orchards. Enjoy a guided walk around the 250 year old traditional Westmorland orchard to learn about the work that goes into maintaining it and if you are unsure of the variety growing in your garden, then bring along 3 or 4 apples and a sprig of leaves for identification.

There will be demonstrations of wood-turning, traditional blacksmithing and woodland crafts and last but not least, lots of delicious orchard produce to taste and buy.
