As part of our WILD! project, we are very excited about our artist-in-residence project made possible by a £500 Discover Cumbria Grant from Friends of the Lake District and Natural England. Three AONB schools will be working with local artists Anna Read and Shane Johnstone to produce lanterns for both the Kendal Torchlight Carnival and our own Apple Day celebration. We are working with Beetham Holiday Homes to create a walking float on the theme of woodland fairy tales. You can go along to the Carnival through the streets of Kendal on Friday 15 September, or come to our fantastic Apple Day on 30 September to see the children’s fantastic work in the flesh!
