AONB Executive Committee - 25th April 2007

AONB Executive offers to carry out the review on behalf of the Local Authorities.
(Lancashire & Cumbria CCs, Lancaster City Council, South Lakeland District Council)

AONB Executive Committee - 25th July 2007

Authority to carry out the review granted and Executive issues the required Notice under section 90(i) of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act.

Strategic Environmental Assessment

requirement announced and SEA work commences.

Re-appraise the existing Vision statements

The Overall and eight theme specific Visions assessed for continued relevance.
Two new visions are added on Marine Environment and Sustainability.

Consultation on the scope of the Review and the Draft SEA Scoping Report.

Appraise consultation outcomes. Report to stakeholders.

Sign off revised Vision Statements and prepare draft Issues revision for approval

Prepare briefing/decision paper on the Extent of the Review for AONB Executive

AND - Publish final SEA Scoping Report following consultation

Appraise consultation outcomes - decide on extent of review and if amendment of the existing plan is needed. Report to stakeholders.

Write/amend Objectives and prepare draft Action Plan

Identify the amendments required and re-write Objectives, draft the review report and commence revision of the Action Plan

AND - Prepare SEA Environmental Report

Test and review the Management Plan Objectives and the draft Action Plan against SEA Objectives and criteria

AONB Executive Committee - 23rd April 2008

Review amendments and other outcomes - sign off draft review report and draft environmental report. Report to stakeholders.

Carry out Consultation April - June 2008

Public and Stakeholder consultation on both Draft Environmental Report
and the draft Review Report revised Action Plan or draft new Management Plan
(including website consultation - Management Plan Review Online)
