The Bittern CCIC has published the first five leaflets in a series of fact sheets on renewable energy. The first leaflet deals with installing solar photo-voltaic panels on your roof, the second with woodburning and multifuel stoves, the third with buying, storing and using woodfuel, the fourth covers reducing energy consumption and home insulation and the fifth and latest addition to the series ground and air source heat pumps.
Later fact sheets will highlight the advantages of wood-chip or pellet boilers and solar hot water heating. You can download the current leaflets as pdf documents from the links below or alternatively pick up a printed copy from the AONB Office at the Old Station Building, Arnside.
