The Landscape Trust's aims are to protect the flora and fauna and improve the landscape of the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We also seek to promote greater understanding of the area and encourage appropriate recreational opportunities.

Members of The Landscape Trust come from all walks of life and all age groups but share both a deep love of the local countryside and a common aim to help protect its natural beauty, conserve its important habitats and safeguard its precious flora and fauna.

We work alongside the AONB Unit - the professional local authority staff who help the four local councils (Cumbria and Lancashire County Councils, South Lakeland District and Lancaster City Councils) fulfil their statutory obligations in respect of the AONB, and work in partnership with all the other organisations which form the AONB Partnership.
