This AONB has a rich Biodiversity, and is recognised internationally as well as locally. Much of the management work undertaken by the conservation organisations working in the AONB is focused on maintaining the species diversity evident in the area and working towards more robust and resilient eco-systems and habitats, that are more interconnected and are able remain viable despite the many pressures acting on them.
