Busy stands at the Bay Discovery Day

As part of International Year of Biodiversity, the Arnside and Silverdale AONB Partnership hosted Bay Discovery Day to celebrate the special qualities of Morecambe Bay.

By kind permission of Crossfield Housing Society, the event was held in the grounds of Ashmeadow House on the Promenade at Arnside between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 24th July.

With children's activities, guided walks by local experts, information on the work being carried out by different conservation organisations on the marine environment, coastguard demonstrations, an exhibition of old photographs, homemade cakes, preserves and refreshments for sale, there was something for everyone!
