CLIMATE WEEK Challenge 21st March 2011
The staff team at Arnside and Silverdale AONB have been declared the winner of the Workplace category of the recent Climate Week Challenge.
Their entry set out a scheme to promote the introduction of more anaerobic digesters
Walking is by far the best way to discover this stunning landscape with its fantastic wildlife and magnificent views. The inaugural AONB Walking Festival proved to be very popular with people of all ages and abilities coming along to events, enjoying the fresh air and learning about the flora and fauna as well as the history and culture of the Area. The festival ran throughout the month of June.
Arnside Viaduct Engineering work ends on 17th July 2011
Work to complete the repair and strengthening of the Grade2 listed Kent Viaduct over the River Kent Estuary is on schedule.
