"Creating a Low Carbon Landscape" - a free one day conference on 7th September to spread the word about living in a low carbon environment

Join us at the Arnside Educational Institute for this free one day event on Wednesday 7th September. Presentations start 10am with lunch available 12:15 - 1:30pm. Conference closes 4 pm.


If you are looking for ways to reduce your home energy bills and want to know more about renewable energy, this one day event is for you!

The days conference will have expert speakers, information stands and examples of work that have been carried out locally.

We hope to provide answers to many important questions including -

  • Can electricity bills be cut by installing photovoltaic panels?
  • Can the insulation of a house with solid stone walls, be upgraded without spending a fortune?
  • Will switching from oil to woodfuel for home heating save money and protect the environment?
  • Will flooding areas of farm land help soak up carbon dioxide?
  • How can cutting down trees help prevent climate change?
