| Famous for Bittern, Marsh Harrier and Bearded Tits amongst it bird life. You might see deer and otter too, not to mention butterflies aplenty! Leighton Moss is a popular nature reserve with an abundance of special birds and wildlife. | |

You can visit nature trails, get some retail therapy in our superb RSPB gift shop and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal in our award-winning cafe. It's a great place to find out more about wildlife - you can hire binoculars and come along to events and guided walks throughout the year. Children will love finding out more about the reserve from the displays in the visitor centre and can take out Wildlife Explorer Backpacks into the reserve. We run lots of family events in the holidays. All our profits help nature too - which is a great excuse for that extra helping of pudding! Choose from a selection of trails and hides, most of which are suitable for wheelchairs, and get right to the heart of the reedbed. Or take the nature trail alongside two coastal lagoons to see lots of wading and water birds (ask in the visitor centre for more details). |
