This page sets out the planned volunteer tasks over the next few weeks, and is updated at the end of each month, giving locations and joining instructions
The first table sets out tasks planned by the AONB Unit and the second lists the opportunities that the other conservation organisations such as RSPB, National Trust, Natural England, Woodland Trust, Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Lancashire Wildlife Trust, have planned in and around the AONB.
If you intend to come along, please ring the AONB Office to book a seat in the Land Rover, and/or to check that the task is still running as planned, The programme is sometimes subject to change due to weather conditions or other circumstances.

Beacon and Community Allotments - on behalf of Warton Parish Council am: Clearing sight-lines for the beacon which is to be lit as part of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations. Bonfire brash pm: Marking out allotments and other preparatory work in Priory field. Location: Meet Colin Peacock at Ged's Gate (SD496724), Warton Crag LNR at 10am. Park in the small layby or in the small Parish Council car park (SD497724). |
