A strong local partnership works together to conserve and enhance the Area's special qualities. The AONB Unit undertakes and facilitates active
countryside management and seeks to involve everyone in the area's protection, while raising awareness of why the AONB is so special.
The oldest domestic fuel has been undergoing a renaissance, and many people have been discovering its advantages. Wood fuel can now deliver automatic heating systems that match the best oil and gas appliances without the carbon emissions!
We all use energy to heat and light our homes, cook food, relax, entertain ourselves and generally make our lives more comfortable. But how much longer can we live this way?
Over the last six years, through its Sustainable Development Fund, the AONB Unit has been able to give financial support to almost 90 projects, several of which have involved the installation of renewable energy technology.
We use energy everyday and in a huge and diverse range of ways, to keep warm, to entertain, to eat, to communicate and to travel.
