The AONB maintains this website to raise awareness of the importance of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and promote understanding of the area's special qualities. Additionally the site provides information on appropriate recreational activities, sustainable tourism, landscape / wildlife conservation, local groups and societies and volunteering opportunities in the AONB.
We are happy for the content of our website to be copied, reproduced, re-transmitted, linked to and shared freely and openly. The material is intended for educational and information purposes, for use by individuals, clubs and societies, schools, colleges or other recognised educational bodies. It may also be copied and reproduced for personal and public interest by individuals, local societies, NGOs and Local/National government bodies.

Links to Tourism Businesses from this website - The AONB Partnership does not endorse any particular tourism business or accommodation provider. All Accommodation providers have been inspected and rated by the accredited Tourism body for the area.
We think it is important to improve the experience for all visitors to the AONB, and therefore website users may benefit from links to the individual businesses that provide services in the AONB. We hope that the links provided will encourage them to purchase food and refreshments locally, stay overnight or longer in the area and reduce the environmental footprint of their visit to the area. We actively promote visits to the AONB by public transport, and encourage visitors to use sustainable transport during their stay in the AONB.
