Stunning limestone pavements, ancient woodlands, intimate orchards and meadows and an impressive coastline make Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape one of England's finest landscapes. The work of the National Landscape Partnership aims to conserve and enhance this extraordinary place now and for the future.
Can you help the Gaskell Hall?
May 6th, 2015
The Hall in Silverdale needs constant maintenance and some development in order to make sure that the village has a hall that the whole community can use and be proud of.
Last year a group of local people with various skills and knowledge offered to look at the Hall, review the facilities and make some suggestions as to a regeneration plan for the future. They have now produced a draft business plan which they want to share with as many people as possible for comments and suggestions.
The Development Group will do a presentation on Thursday 14th May at 7.30pm in the Gaskell Hall. This is your opportunity to listen to their suggestions and see the plans, come up with ideas and make your views known.
They are also looking for members of the public to join the Sub Committee to be part of this exciting project. Do you have the skills or experience in applying for grants or with financial planning, can you bring to the group the drive and enthusiasm to push a large scale plan forward? If so, please get in touch!
